Issue Position

To not support those who courageously and valiantly sacrificed for the freedom we enjoy is the ultimate demonstration of ingratitude. When a veteran is suffering from a disease, physical disability or emotional trauma, it is our duty to insure that those noble men and women get all the help they need. I was shocked to hear that delays in providing healthcare to our veterans may have been responsible for 40 deaths. Congress should immediately investigate how this could happen and correct it. An independent special prosecutor should be appointed to examine whether there was any criminal activity. Our government should not be an impediment to our veterans and their ability to get the support that they rightfully deserve. As your congressman, I will fight for our veterans and the programs that are dear to them.
